“Brenda Walsh was ‘relatable in an uncomfortable way,’ said Kat Spada, a host of ‘The Blaze,’ a podcast devoted to discussing ‘90210.’

“In hindsight, the backlash from fans against the character of Brenda Walsh, and by extension Ms. Doherty, may have been a result of seeing themselves in both women, said Lizzie Leader, the other host of the podcast.”

"This month, we are honored to be joined by Lizzie and Kat, hosts of the popular 90210 podcast The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat. The Blaze is a weekly podcast that’s going through every episode of the original Beverly Hills 90210 series. Behind-the-scenes interviews with the show’s executive producer, candid interviews, and two friends cracking each other up are in store for every episode."

"HLN spoke to Lizzie and Kat, hosts of 'The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat!,' a weekly podcast (named after West Beverly Hills High School's newspaper) dedicated to the original 'Beverly Hills, 90210,' about their wish list surrounding the zip getting the 'unauthorized' treatment."

"For West Beverly High School senior Donna Martin, the road to graduation was a long and arduous one."

The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat: A Beverly Hills 90210 Podcast LIVE

"Super fans of the original Beverly Hills, 90210 Lizzie Leader and Kat Spada host a live taping the their podcast The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat. Before The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, there were Brandon, Brenda, Dylan, Kelly, Steve, Andrea, Donna and David. Named after the newspaper of the fictional West Beverly Hills High School, the weekly podcast analyzes episodes of the ‘90s series about the affluent teen woes of America’s most coveted zip code. Tonight, the two will be joined by actress Christine Elise McCarthy, who played 'Emily Valentine,' Brandon’s spikey-haired, motorcycle-riding love interest. Together they’ll look back on season-two episode 'U4EA,' in which the gang goes to an underground club and have run-ins with – gasp – drugs and other misadventures. The evening also includes a live performance by Seattle singer Prom Queen."

Your essential Los Angeles podcasts

"What show is more quintessential Los Angeles than Beverly Hills, 90210? In this hilarious and nostalgic podcast, hosts Lizzie and Kat go episode by episode to revisit the turbulent lives of the Walsh twins when they leave quiet Minnesota and move into the most coveted zip code on the westside. You can judge whether you’re Team Brandon or Team Dylan by listening here."

"High school drama with rich teenagers on the beach? Count me in! Twenty-five years later, we're still lusting after Luke Perry, hate-watching Shannen Doherty and wishing we were as well-dressed as these clearly-older-than-high-school-student characters."

"BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. (JTA) — Back in the 1990s, the Fox series 'Beverly Hills, 90210' tackled eating disorders, gun safety, addiction and AIDS in a tone so earnest that it seems quaint in the era of  'Girls' and 'Broad City' — shows that eschew the moralizing of TV generations past."

"Feel like going back in time with me? Who didn’t love the exploits of Brenda and Brandon Walsh?  Together with their friends, Kelly, Dylan, Donna, David, and Steve they were a part of one of the biggest shows on TV, 'Beverly Hills, 90210.' Now, you can re-live the series through the hugely successful podcast 'The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat' which releases new episodes every Monday on iTunes and Sticher. Recently, I had a chance to talk to the show’s hosts Lizzie and Kat about their podcast, their hysterical run in with a famous guest star from the series, and more!  Make sure you follow the girls on their website and twitter!"

"To put a Hollywood spin on General Douglas MacArthur’s farewell address to Congress: Old TV shows never die, they just fade away into syndication. But in the case of Beverly Hills, 90210 , which ran for 10 seasons on Fox, the fadeout hasn’t been permanent. That’s because Katherine Spada ’08 and Elizabeth Leader ’09 have taken it upon themselves to revive it with their podcast 'The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat!'"

"Lizzie and Kat were amazing - total pros who put together an engaging and funny evening for everyone in attendance.  They are Boss Ladies and I truly admire what they're doing.  Here's the link to this live podcast - you should also back through the archives, because if you're not tuning in, you're truly missing out on all the fun."

"So – I did a live-on-stage podcast about the 90210 episode U4EA.  It was really fun & I think it is pretty funny."

My Latest Interview with The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat

"A couple of months ago, I had the pleasure of sitting down for an interview with two of my favorite podcasters, Lizzie and Kat of The Blaze with Lizzie & Kat.  I’ve been following their show ever since the very beginning, so to finally meet them and hang out with them for a couple of hours was thrilling to say the least!  If you are at all interested in Beverly Hills, 90210 and aren’t already listening to their podcast, you need to be!  You can check it out here.  And you can listen to my interview here.  Spoiler – we talk about our shared loved for Brenda Walsh, the day the Grim Cheaper thwarted my chance at meeting D’Shawn Hardell, and that time I sent James Eckhouse a card (not joking – you can see a picture of it here)."

"The wildly popular Beverly Hills 90210-themed podcast in which two super fans dissect an episode of the hit 90s show. Listen to me call David, Billy; wax judgmental on Brenda slut shaming and confess that I had never seen a single episode of 90210, until now."

"By now you know we're total freaks for Beverly Hills 90210, so you can imagine the meltdown that occurred when we Tumbld across this 20 karat diamond of a podcast."

"The Blaze: One of the first podcasts I got hooked on. The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat goes through each episode of the original Beverly Hills 90210 and it’s pretty amazing."

The Blaze!

"When I was 6 years old I discovered a TV show wayyyyy too mature for me. It was Beverly Hills 90210 later to be referred to as 90210. I thought everyone on it was so cool and of course I had a major crush on Dylan McKay. Flashforward to about 2 months ago I discovered a podcast called, The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat. I was on the way to pick Andrew up from the airport and sat in my car listening to the first episode. I found myself laughing so hard I was crying and nodding my head. I kept thinking 'YES!' and 'OMG I thought the same thing!'”

"I downloaded a variety at the start of the year, but the one I’ve dedicated all of my 2016 driving time to thus far is a 90210 recap podcast called The Blaze With Lizzie and Kat. Each episode makes me giggle and reminisce on the show I likely watched within the last 24 hours. I don’t need to get into details of my 90210 fanfare, but let’s just say it’s been 25 years since the show first aired and it’s the only show I watch with regularity."

"Despite my resolve to listen to all downloaded podcasts before finding more, I couldn’t help myself when I discovered this gem of a show. I read about Lizzie and Kat’s The Blaze podcast in the comments section of a Vulture article and am addicted. Each show is devoted to an episode of my favorite guilty pleasure, Beverly Hills 90210. Lizzie, Kat, and their guests discuss the plot, analyze the fashions, and gossip about the show’s cast. They are hilarious, and in addition to all things 90210, their show is laced with tons of pop culture references from the ‘80s to today."
